Biography
Shidoshi Troy began his martial arts journey at approximately six years old, training in Taekwondo. By the age of 13, he had earned his first-degree black belt, building a strong foundation in discipline, technique, and perseverance.
In 2022, Troy joined Space Coast Championship Martial Arts and began training in our Kenpo Jujutsu system. As of August 2026, he holds the rank of Low Brown Belt and continues working toward earning his black belt with Space Coast CMA.
Shidoshi Troy is also a dedicated scholar of the martial arts who believes learning should never stop. He continually expands his knowledge of martial arts history while contributing to the advancement of our curriculum for the modern student. His approach honors the traditions and principles behind the martial arts while helping ensure that what we teach remains relevant, practical, and effective for today’s students.
An accomplished Traditional Forms and Traditional Weapons competitor, Shidoshi Troy has competed through both USA Sport Karate and the ISKA U.S. Open-first as a youth and now as an adult. As a member of Team Space Coast, he continues to compete while also helping coach younger team members and encouraging them to bring out their very best, both on and off the mats.
Known for his attention to detail and calm, patient approach to instruction, Shidoshi Troy helps students strengthen their focus, build confidence, and feel empowered to pursue greatness. Whether he is assisting with belt-rank classes or working with Team Space Coast competitors, he leads through consistency, encouragement, and high standards.
Looking ahead to 2027, Shidoshi Troy’s goals include earning his black belt with Space Coast CMA and pursuing an additional opportunity to test alongside Sensei Maison and Shidoshi Grady during the CMA Black Belt Test in the fall of 2027.
Students can look forward to training with Shidoshi Troy during the belt-rank classes he assists with, as well as through scheduled private lessons.
